The Mosaic Consultation INR/Warfarin Management module utilises a formula developed by
Ryan et al which assists clinicians adjust oral anticoagulant doses in patients. It
also recommends the time interval for the next follow up visit. The module
interrogates the PRS for changes in medication that may interact to either
increase or decrease warfarin levels.
The INR module is fully integrated with the
Mosaic Care Suite and comes at no additional charge.
When the diagnosis is entered, the duration of treatment is calculated along-with an INR target range for that condition. Result will be extracted
from the patient record system (PRS) or you can enter the INR result. Immediately you will be given a dose recommendation and the date of the next recommended review.
Dose recommendations support prescribers and non-prescribers working under a PGD. You can override a dose or review date. Summary of current review can be printed or saved to the PRS.
A dose calendar can also be printed for the patient.
